Back 6 May 2016Scorned lover… was it worth it? The BBC has published images of a Range Rover parked outside Harrods, with angry and bitter messages daubed across the paintwork. It appears to be the handiwork of a scorned lover seeking revenge against her cheating partner. You cannot help but wince at the graffiti, which in reality, is nothing more than an act of vandalism. That being said, while I can never promote criminal damage, it is certainly a creative way to vent. The breakdown of a relationship brings with it a rollercoaster of emotions. There is no ‘one size fits all’ way to deal with a separation however; it usually involves a series of different phases. It is natural to experiences highs and lows when coming to terms with the breakdown of a relationship and it is incredibly important to seek support throughout the process. The road to recovery can be a long and lonely journey. As a specialist family solicitor, on a daily basis I will meet with clients at the start of the process and it is my job to guide each client through every step of the way to formalise matters in connection to their relationship breakdown whether that is for a divorce, finances or children. Undeniably, the legal and procedural formalities that often follow a relationship breakdown can cause even more emotional distress. As a specialist family solicitor I am fully equipped and experienced in streamlining the process as much as possible. At every juncture, it is my priority to divert as much stress away from my clients and it is my aim to support them through each phase of the journey. It is clear to me that this ‘scorned lover’ is wrapped up in anger and I would hope she is able to move forwards positively.
