Simon Lovitt

Simon first studied history at the University of York. Following the completion of his history degree, Simon continued at the University of York and obtained both an accelerated undergraduate law degree and a Masters in law. Simon then completed the Legal Practice Course in Manchester.

Simon joined the Maguire Family Law team upon qualifying in September 2024 having trained at a Legal 500 Tier 1 family department at a law firm based in Leeds and Bristol. Simon is now based primarily in our Manchester office.

Simon has experience in dealing with all aspects of a relationship breakdown, including complex financial matters and child arrangements. Simon also deals with financial issues arising from the separation of cohabitees and domestic abuse.

Simon understands the incredibly challenging times many clients find themselves in when their relationship breaks down. Simon works hard to obtain the best possible outcome for clients whilst ensuring that his advice is pragmatic and clear.
