Back 9 September 2014High Court’s decision in the plight of Ashya King There has been much media reporting about this little 5 year old boy; and he and his parents arrived in Prague on 8 September so that he can receive medical treatment. The High Court made Ashya a ward of court and in my blog of 3 September I explained why and what this could entail. Mr Justice Baker has now published his judgement made on 8 September and in open court (which is unusual) which now discharges the wardship order upon Ashya arriving at the University Hospital Motol. A copy of the court’s decision and reasons can be seen here . This case continues the debate over children’s health rights.
