Our coercive control research has featured as the top story on BBC North West Tonight, putting a spotlight on this important issue and the impact coercive control can have.
The piece included an insightful interview with James, our managing director, who discussed the increase we’ve seen at Maguire Family Law in the number of clients who are either victims or perpetrators of coercive control. It also highlighted the top findings of our recently commissioned survey which found that 1 in 5 people in the North West have been a victim of coercive control and 20% of people in the region who have experienced a coercively controlling relationship are still in it. Alongside this, the segment included the eye-opening experiences of a case study who experienced this behaviour first hand.
The research also featured in a BBC News online piece, on BBC Radio Manchester and on several other TV slots throughout the day.
